So where does Café World fit in exactly?

Well since I’m currently hooked on this new Facebook game, I decided to write a review about the game itself and a new advantage to the game called Café World Domination. The game itself is huge in popularity rising 10million in one week. Incredibly phenomenal and this statistic should not really be ignored.

Since a massive chunk of the worlds population is on Facebook, what is it besides the games usual addictive qualities, that makes Café World so popular?

Roy Sehgal, General Manager of Clubhouse Studio, the new Zynga game design studio that built Cafe World in just 5 months says the game really has a dissimilar game mechanic at its core hub. He describes his title Café World as an “ultimate cooking and restaurant empire building game.” The player actively participates in cooking dishes for the restaurant and does so in a very social and interactive way. You select a dish, buy the ingredients for it, and then cook it over a certain period of time. You return to the game when the cooking is done and serve it to the customers and it just takes minutes a day. It can be defined as a game about cooking and running a restaurant.

There are ways to get your friends to tap their friends so there is great “engagement” in the game, for instance if you haven’t figured out the element of having to return to the game every day so that you could tend to your cooking dish and no doubt this is some if not most user’s minds before going to sleep even. That’s one addictive element of games in general of course.

One of the best parts Zynga also designed a way to make money in the game. You can earn virtual currency known as coins by running a successful cafe. You can spend those coins on dishes that you buy from other players, but you can also use real money to buy Cafe coins that you can use to decorate or design your restaurant with a French or Indian motif.

The game was released on Sept. 30 and went viral like a rocket ship. Now, on any given day, 6.5 million users are playing Café World. Zynga cross-promoted the game to its other game users as well, that’s an intelligent element of advantage.
